I believe John 8:36 stating “So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.” True freedom is found in Christ. I feel that unknowingly, we become slaves to our shame, failure, and even the world.
You ever spent a day scrolling on social media, hours watching TV, or just felt ashamed of something you did in your past. These things can make us feel as if we are in chains. Some may call them addictions, but I call it being enslaved.
True freedom comes when we give everything to Christ. When we decide to let it all go and grab hold to God’s hand, choosing to walk with Him. True freedom is when you are content, knowing that God is taking care of all your worries.
1 Peter 5:7 says “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.”
True freedom is giving up control and having confidence that God is control of your life. So, when trouble comes, you don’t have to worry.
