Embracing Faith: Navigating Life’s Storms with God’s Guidance

Daily writing prompt
Share a story about someone who had a positive impact on your life.

I believe that building a relationship with God has made a positive impact on my life. It’s one thing to believe in God, it’s another to have a relationship with Him.

Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. James 4:8

When I chose to repent and truly change my ways, I could see God working in my life. I use to love God at a distance because I was afraid my life would get worse. I would always hear people talk about when you ask God to help you with things, he test you. I thought maybe if I don’t mention this to God I won’t have to go through a storm to get it.
When we realize that the storm is going to come regardless, we will then see that the storm is better to walk through with God.

I don’t think that your life becomes harder when you walk with God. I just think God is light. His light shines so bright in our lives that we have no choice but to see the dark things that we have in us and need to give to Him.

God will bring some things out of you that you didn’t know you were struggling with. These things don’t come up to shame you, they come up so that you can give them to God. We no longer have to carry the weight of life. We can cast all of our cares to Christ, because he cares for us.

24 Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. Mathew 16:24

We were never promised an easy life. So, when the storm comes, hold tight to God’s hand. He will walk you through that storm and when you get to the other side, you will be equipped with tools and strength to encourage others.

Happy Mother’s Day to the mothers and happy Sunday to all!

“Gracefully Broken” is one of my favorite songs by Tasha Leonard Cobbs, have a listen and let me know what you think.
