Take Every Thought Captive

What are you most worried about for the future?

One of the joys of living as a Christian is that I don’t have to worry about anything. I serve a God that supplies my every need. So, why would I waste my time with worrying about things that are out of my control? The Bible tells us, in 1 Peter 5:7, to cast our cares to Him, because he cares for us. Meaning pray and give your worries to God. He will provide.

This takes the pressure off of me. I talk to God about everything. I talk to Him about fashion, my child, my love life, my future, and everything else. I know that I can trust Him with my life. His word also says that He knows the plans He has for us, plans for good and not for disaster, to give us a future and a hope.

Anytime worry or doubt goes through my head, I fight it with the Word of God. We have to understand that we can’t control every thought that goes through our mind, but we can control wether we let it stay and plant seeds there. So, today start taking every thought captive and make it obey the Word of God. Line your thoughts up and think about where they are coming from. Is it truth and does it align with what God says? This is how we can easily determine what is God and what is us. Your thought life is important. If I looked at the movie in your mind today, what would I see?
