Seeking Jesus

Are you seeking security or adventure?

I’m seeking Jesus. This can sometimes look like security and other times feel like adventure. If I’m being honest, my walk is both. Everything I’m walking in is new to me. It’s all an adventure, but I trust that God is my security.

Walking in faith will always feel like adventure because it doesn’t make sense to us humans.

“Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭1‬:‭27‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I will never allow an unbeliever or someone who isn’t planted in Christ to speak over my life. They will never understand the way God works. They think I’m crazy because I’m walking in faith, but like Pastor Mike always says, “It’s only crazy until it happens.”

“But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭2‬:‭14‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Like I stated before, I am not the best writer, but God lives in me. I trust that He will see that His word reaches whomever it is supposed to reach. Not only will it reach you, but it will speak to you in the way He sees fit.

Therefore, what you think of me has nothing to do with me. I am to be obedient to God regardless of how people may feel. I don’t know if you’re struggling with thoughts of how people receive you, but if you are let it go. That’s something you can’t control and it’s not supposed to be in your hands.

“As for me, it matters very little how I might be evaluated by you or by any human authority. I don’t even trust my own judgment on this point.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭4‬:‭3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Trust God and be obedient to what He called you to do regardless of how it makes people feel about you.
